Meet Our Providers


Janet L. Benish, MD

Dr. Benish graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School.  She completed her pediatric residency training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and practiced pediatrics in Detroit before moving to Harbor Beach, Michigan.  This rural community of 2,600 people gave Dr. Benish and her physician-husband the opportunity to practice as country doctors for nine years.  As one of only two pediatricians in the county, Dr. Benish acquired a wide expertise in general pediatrics.

Elizabeth R. Carpenter, MD

Dr. Carpenter lived in Cleveland Heights as a child and attended college at Princeton University.  She received her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University and completed her pediatric training at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, where she also received training in International Health.  Dr. Carpenter has special interests in international adoption and adolescent care.

Peter M. Catanzaro, MD

Dr. Catanzaro grew up in University Heights and attended college at Princeton University.  He is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he served as chapter president of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.  Dr. Catanzaro completed his pediatric training at Harvard Medical School/Boston University School of Medicine Combined Program in Pediatrics in Boston.  Dr. Catanzaro currently serves as the medical director of Suburban Pediatrics and has a special interest in pediatric asthma management.

L. Holly Dickert-Leonard, MD

Dr. Dickert-Leonard is a graduate of Yale University and received her medical degree at the University of Rochester.  She trained in Pediatrics at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, where she was selected to spend an additional year as Chief Resident.  Dr. Dickert-Leonard has spent several years on staff at Rainbow caring for hospitalized children.  She now devotes her time to private practice and has special interests in infant colic and breastfeeding.

Andrew R. Hertz, MD

Dr. Hertz is a native of Shaker Heights and a graduate of the University of Florida.  He attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University.  He completed his pediatric training at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, where he was selected to spend an additional year as Chief Resident.  Dr. Hertz also serves as the vice president and medical director of the UH Rainbow Care Connection.

Matthew Mascioli, MD

Dr. Matthew Mascioli is a graduate of Carlton College in Minnesota and received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston.  He completed his residency at the University of Chicago Department of Pediatrics. Prior to joining Suburban Pediatrics, Dr. Mascioli worked at The University of Chicago Pediatric Hospital. 

Stephen Posluszny, MD

Dr. Posluszny grew up in Northern New Jersey and moved to the midwest to attend college at the University of Notre Dame.  From there, he went to medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed residency training at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital, spending an additional year as a chief resident.  He has special interests in asthma, allergies, and nutrition, and he presently resides in Cleveland Heights.

Dawn Riebe, MD

Dr. Riebe grew up in Willoughby and is a graduate of the University of Dayton.  She attended medical school at The Ohio State University and completed her pediatric training at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.  Prior to joining Suburban Pediatrics, Dr. Riebe worked in pediatric urgent care and taught residents at Rainbow.  Dr. Riebe has special interests in supporting breastfeeding, food allergies, and children with developmental delays.

Carly Wilbur, MD

Dr. Wilbur grew up in University Heights and attended the Hebrew Academy.  She went to college at Columbia University and received her medical degree from Albert Einstein Medical School in New York City.  Dr. Wilbur returned home to train in Pediatrics at the Cleveland Clinic and now has special interests in behavior issues and sleep disorders.
